Steeler Yachts based in Steenwijk, The Netherlands, has recently taken over the adjacent shipyard.
This location is next door to the current Steeler establishment, and the takeover represents an expansion of Steeler's production capacity, moorings and showroom space.
An added benefit is the fact that Steeler will be able to offer the owners of its yachts a mooring (open or sheltered) at the shipyard. Steenwijk borders Giethoorn and the superb nature area 'de Weerribben', and the shipyard is on the main sailing route from IJsselmeer to Friesland.
Steeler Yachts specialises in open cockpit models with exclusive designs and custom-made interiors. The 'Next Generation' models introduced in 2010 are regarded both nationally and internationally as being the height of what is possible in the design of steel structures. The Steeler interiors are completely custom-made: a unique experience for customers wishing to have their wishes and requirements met in full.
With 10 vessels under construction the shipyard has a well-filled order portfolio and can look to the future with confidence. Besides the NG line, the shipyard created a mini-revolution in boatland in 2013 when it introduced the Panorama FlatFloor, a completely single-level motor yacht with an unprecedented amount of space and comfort and a spectacular design. The first Panorama is currently under construction and the amount of interest shown in this completely new concept has been overwhelming.
This investment in the future will support Steelers’drive for continuous inhouse innovation, giving further substance to its slogan “Yachts with Ambition”.
