Steeler X78 Flybridge

Steeler X-78 Flybridge:
Med-cruising in comfort with striking looks and performance

Introducing the X-78 Fly: the first model to feature a flybridge design, building on the success of the sleek X-78 Sport, which debuted at the 2023 Hiswa te Water show in the Netherlands.

The X-78 Fly takes the cutting-edge aluminum hull and superstructure of the Sport to new heights – literally – by adding the ultimate flybridge experience.

Crafted for effortless Mediterranean cruising, this masterpiece seamlessly blends bold aesthetics with exceptional performance. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines delivering 1,000 hp each (the equivalent of two Bugatti Veyrons), the X-78 Fly achieves an exhilarating top speed of 28 knots and offers a smooth cruising speed of 20 knots.

The 23.9m X-78 Fly shares the same structure up to the top of the windows in the superstructure. Above that, the structure has been modified. Weel succeeded in beautifully integrating the extra top deck into the styling.

Step inside to discover unmatched interior luxury. The full-beam master suite is a true oasis, complemented by a forward VIP cabin and two spacious ensuite guest doubles, redefining comfort and elegance at sea.

What stands out aboard the X 78 Flybridge is the fact the interior is crafted from solid wood, combined with natural stone or composite materials in the kitchen and bathrooms. A lot of freedom in material choices is possible, including wall coverings, wood types, door hardware, bathroom fittings, and more. This ensures that each customer truly builds their own yacht, creating a unique and comfortable environment that feels like home.

Bernd Weel, whose studio has worked on all Xtreme models: “In automotive design, you work with 3D shapes, and everything is about lines, light, shadow, and reflection. The way a surface catches and reflects light gives a car design personality. “Just look at a car door. Light falls on the shoulder—just below the window—creating a bright reflection, while at the bottom of the door panel, there is more shadowing. That play of light, reflection, and shadow creates a face. I do the same in my yacht designs.”

The X-78 Fly’s superb, multifunctional and highly sociable upper deck, sheltered under a hardtop with a sunroof, speaks to a way of living that is central to Mediterranean boating.

Thanks to the twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350s delivering 1,000HP, it has a top speed of 28 knots and a 20-knot cruise. It features a full-beam master suite, a forward VIP, and two guest ensuite doubles below.
