This first Steeler trawler has the highly appropriate name of Flyfish. She was built for clients who wished do some serious tuna fishing on both sides of the pond, so a transatlantic range was required. And, just as with the fisherman of the past, these clients had a serious need for speed in order to swiftly arrive at the best spots. 24 knots should suffice!
The bespoke interior is in walnut and includes four guest cabins, a crew cabin and dedicated galley facilities (the owners love cooking almost as much as fishing). The 24-knot top speed is provided by twin 715 hp engines and Flyfish has a range of 1750 nautical miles at seven knots. Her fuel consumption is a mere 2.3 litres/0.6 USG per nautical mile.
