Steeler Yachts proudly shares the first images of MOSS, the new Steeler Ocean Explorer 85, during her successful initial sea trial.
With a length overall of 26 metres (85 feet) and a volume of 148 GT, MOSS departed from the yard’s facilities in Meppel for her first run. Offshore sea trials will follow shortly, with delivery scheduled for the end of February.
MOSS is the first yacht to be finalized entirely in Steeler’s Meppel facilities following the acquisition of Holterman Shipyard in 2024, marking an important milestone for the yard.
Yard & Project Manager of MOSS, Tim Wedzinga, comments:
“MOSS is the first project being finalized in the Steeler facilities in Meppel, following the acquisition of the Holterman Shipyard in 2024. Working with the knowledge and experience of two shipyards combined has turned into a great adventure, resulting in a yacht we are truly proud of today. Together with the owners team and their experience in interior design, MOSS became a true explorer with a high quality superyacht interior. The sea trials went very well, and she moves elegantly and confidently through the water.”
After the remaining sea trials are completed, MOSS will return to the yard for final preparations ahead of handover.
We look back on a very successful Miami International Boat Show and thank everyone who visited us on board and connected with our team.
The strong interest confirms Steeler Yachts’ growing momentum in the Americas, and next up is Palm Beach, where we will continue this journey together with our premium partner HMY Yacht Sales.
