Meet the new Ocean Explorer 88 — the first tri-deck expedition yacht in our Ocean Explorer range. At 26.7 meters with an impressive 7.5-meter beam, she takes the concept into a new category: more volume, more autonomy and more capability for owners who want to travel far beyond the usual cruising grounds.
With 40,000 liters of fuel and a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles, the Ocean Explorer 88 is designed for serious long-distance cruising. She accommodates eight guests across four cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, with separate quarters for four crew and a dedicated captain’s cabin.
One of her defining features is the bridge deck. Alongside the wheelhouse and a dedicated spa and wellness area, a large work deck can carry two tenders of approximately 7 and 5 meters. Once the tenders are launched, this becomes another substantial open deck area for life at anchor.
Although only three feet longer than the Ocean Explorer 85, the difference is substantial. The 7.5-meter beam and new tri-deck configuration create significantly more volume, allowing for larger crew and service areas, increased storage and provisions, and a clear separation between guest life and yacht operations
Built with a steel displacement hull and aluminum superstructure and developed together with Pim Dijksman, the Ocean Explorer 88 combines true expedition capability with exceptional onboard space and comfort. The Ocean Explorer 88 is currently presented as a concept, with price on application.
