STEELER YACHTS LAUNCHES SECOND OCEAN EXPLORER 85 “MOSS”.

This launch follows shortly after the successful transatlantic crossing of the Ocean Explorer 72 “Two Bubbles”, once again underlining the Ocean Explorer concept as a capable and reliable platform for serious offshore and long-distance exploration.

With MOSS, Steeler Yachts launches its third Ocean Explorer into the water, and with the second Ocean Explorer 72 recently commissioned, the Ocean Explorer fleet now consists of five yachts.

MOSS has been developed in close collaboration with her owner-captain, resulting in a yacht that is fully tailored to hands-on, long-distance cruising. The fully custom interior, designed by Kees Marcelis, reflects a careful balance between functionality, comfort, and understated elegance, suited for extended periods on board and global cruising ambitions.

The yacht is currently preparing for sea trials, after which she will depart on her first journey towards the Indian Ocean, further demonstrating the Ocean Explorer 85’s long-range explorer credentials.

MOSS has an overall length of 26.00 metres, a hull length of 23.90 metres, a beam of 6.60 metres, and a draft of 1.70 metres. MOSS is built in accordance with CE-A standards and fully complies with the Malta sCYC 2024 flag requirements, with an unrestricted navigation notation.

Original design by Edwin van der Mark, with naval architecture by Studio Delta.

With the launch of MOSS, Steeler Yachts continues to strengthen the Ocean Explorer line as a proven and evolving series, built for owners who seek true independence, range, and confidence at sea.
