Third Ocean Explorer 85 Sold

Project 511 is built to CE Category A (Ocean Going) standards and features a hull length of 23.9 meters (78 ft), an overall length of 26 meters (85 ft), and a beam of 6.9 meters (22.6 ft).

The yacht combines a steel round-bilged hull with an aluminium superstructure and is powered by two commercially rated MAN engines of 290 kW, delivering a range of over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots.

The interior design will be developed by Kitty van der Kamp, with the layout fully customized to the owner’s wishes. Below deck, the yacht features four staterooms, including a crew cabin for two and a dedicated utility room.

The main deck is designed around a flexible wheelhouse that can be enclosed or opened towards the saloon through high/low partitions, creating a seamless connection between helm and living space. A spacious galley and lounge area complete the layout.

The flybridge is designed for both comfort and versatility, featuring a full wet bar, dedicated sports area, and a forward-facing lounge area, allowing guests to enjoy unobstructed views ahead while underway.

For this specific project, Steeler’s electrically operated high/low flybridge windows have been integrated, allowing the space to be opened or enclosed at the touch of a button.

Since its introduction in 2021, the Ocean Explorer series has gained strong momentum, with the first delivery late 2024. The concept has already demonstrated its capabilities, most notably with the transatlantic crossing of the Ocean Explorer 72 “Two Bubbles” last year.

With this latest sale, the series continues to confirm its position as a true long-range cruising platform.
